They also come in XL rated sidewalls which helps as does bumping up the pressure slightly.

tried
potenza & T1r on 16" R888 & yoko advans on 17"
Potenza was a good tyre but found it hard to get the proper one
T1R gave more confidence in the rain and i never found them that much difference than the Potenza's
the R888 was imense but tramlined something awfull
The Yoko Advans are a very good, longish life and good grip

Front oem 16 Regal
changed to Kumho later and its fine on the front of the car.
Rears oem 16 Kumho
Very scary in damp conditions and great in the summer weather.
Changed wheels to 17 Rota Torques
tyres fitted were Federal
The fronts are still on and feel good in all conditions.
The rears were very scary in the damp conditions so changed to
Dunlop 7000D and they have been great in all road conditions so far and are a good price.

You need RE050a in 16" for the fronts. MZ are for 17s.
Looks like they have them in stock: http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m62b745s0p0

Hi
I have on the front
BF Goodrich
16"
205/55/16
Rear
Uniroyal Rainsport
16"
225/50/16
Rears are just about done in, fronts have a bit left on them. Only done 1000 miles in the car since I have had it. She is fine in the dry, back end is skitish in the wet if pushed (but then again, the rears have very little tread on them).
Just in the process of ordering Falken FK452's.
Regards
Chris

TYRES FITTED: Potenza RE050 MZ's
WHEEL SIZE: OEM 17
TYRE SIZES: 245/40 17 & 215/45 17
Haven't tried any others on the S but to be fair I got 17k out of the original set of rears and 24k from the fronts!!
I have very recently replaced the rears after covering a further 15k.
I like the grip that Yoko's have provided on previous cars but I know from experience & as per the Mr Nut's comments that they last no time at all and are pricey.
