What sizes are you running Jon?
225/50 rears, 205/55 fronts.

I've had the S for nerly three years, and with the Kumho tyres its like its on rails!

I drove an ATR recently wearing those Kumhos and it was good. (Our ATR has run on Hankooks or Vredestein so far)

Rear:

TYRES FITTED: Toyo Proxies T1R
WHEEL SIZE: OEM 16"
TYRE SIZES: 245

OPINION: I like them, good grip in dry and give good confidence in the wet.
I pump them up to 36psi and don't really notice the side walls flexing.

Front:

TYRES FITTED: Avon ZZ3
WHEEL SIZE: OEM 16"

OPINION: Not as good as the Toyos, they are OK. I bought them in a rush (MOT). Will go for something else next time.

My personal view is that all quality tyres are good. Naturally, some better than others. Less grip can be more fun, and no matter what you choose you get used to what you have. Above all keep on top of your tyre pressure!

I have a question regarding tyre pressures on 17" wheels and Falken Fk452.

I recently checked, all 4 tyres were down to 27psi. I bumped them all up to 32psi to see if it would sharpen the handling, what it did was make the rear HORRID and crashy.

I have since dropped the rears back to 30psi but left the fronts at 32psi. This feels much nicer, where the front felt a bit 'soggy' before, now it feels better on turn in and it feels like I have less understeer.

Is this solely to do with the difference in profile between front and rear?

not actually checked my tyre pressure since fitting on saturday, but will check mine later, as it feels quiet sharp.

When I had Falkens FK452 on the 350z they were pretty bad IMO very soft sidewalls and the grip seemed to run out very quickly in dry and wet. My S2000 has the RE050's on it and I am really impressed with the level of grip in dry and wet conditions. Mine are wearing now so I might try the RE050A as it should have a bit sharper wet grip for the winter.

I have Bridgestone RE50As all round on mine, on 16".

Has anyone tried Pirelli P-Zeros? The Jag uses them and they are great on that and I had them on my old car the grip in wet and dry was really good. So has anyone ever tried them?

Just about to replace the tyres on my recently refurbished AP2 wheels. Looking at a set of Bridgestone RE050s.

Does £440 inc VAT sound like a good price?

They also come in XL rated sidewalls which helps as does bumping up the pressure slightly.
