I would watch the car they are reviewed on though. An Audi on 19s is very different to an S2000
I need to see more about sidewall stiffness before changing from Bridgestones.

TYRES Front: Toyo Proxes
TYRES Rear: Maxxis
WHEEL SIZE: OEM 16's
TYRE SIZES: 225/50/16 & 205/55/16
OPINION: These are the rubber that was fitted when I bought the car. Both still have loads of life left in them so no need to change. I have used them in major down-pours on the M1 and they have been great. The rears seem absolutey fine and give great feedback on the road. The Toyos on the front seem a bit wooly when pushed or under braking. I haven't anything to compare against, so no bench mark I am afraid!

From what I've had on the S in order - RE050MZ, Toyo T1R, Eagle F1 Asymmetric (on my old MY04) and now going back to RE050MZ's on my new S as thats what it had when I bought it I prefer the Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics. Amazing in all conditions in terms of grip and even when they were on the treadbars they were less twitchy than the others with 3mm remaining. The only gripe was the noise, although not very noisy they could have been better... so fingers crossed the new revision 2 are considerably quieter than revision 1!

Spoke to Event, re050a for 16s is on indefinite backorder and there are none in the UK or Europe.

Due to the intervention of a set of 17" 06 wheels (see thread on that from earlier today), they are about to get a cancellation.
£114 each fitted, booked for 1.30pm...

Thumbs up for the S001s. Tested them properly over weekend on the regular wales trip. Felt really good on the back, even in the wet.
Back end shimmy has definitely reduced too, I would get this on potholes etc

Im looking for a new set of tyres for my new wheels, is anyone using these tyres:
Hankook ventus v12 evo k110
Like all tyres there is some good and bad reviews for them, I read that a chap on here said the tyre wall is too soft similar to the toyo t1r. im just looking for a set of performance budget tyres. I think the hankook came in at 440 fitted.

Having said which, my S is my daily, with little opportunity for stuffing it into corners on the way, so if the sidewall is relatively soft, I guess I'm one of the ones on here who will worry a lot less about it than, say, wet grip.
I'll also say that I had Hankooks as OEM on my last motor, a new Golf that I gave a bit of a hammering to, and they did me more than 20k miles on the front (driven) wheels and more on the rear. Very different car in many ways I know, but if the V12s bear-up to half that, I'll be happy.

I wanted a set of r888 at first but the wedding is draining my funds.
Imo 440 fitted is a bargain for tyres. If they are not bad on grip.
Let us know how you get on in a couple of week pal, once the tyres have worn in.
