Default Cockpit rattle

Hi all

My S has developed an annoying plastic rattle somewhere in the dash on the passenger side. I'm not expecting anyone to know what it is, but if anyone knows of any common things that rattle or may cause rattling, I'd be really chuffed.

Thanks

Craig

Hi, here are two things to check first, the rear view mirror, when you hear the rattle grab it and see if it stops. I've had this issue myself. If it is this it will need tightening up on the screw.
Today, I solved another rattle type noise, infact I was concerned it was something from the engine, I was mighty relieved to have discovered the true cause of the noise!
I got out of the car with the engine still running and the noise was louder, I pressed down on the bonnet and the noise stopped! Since adjusting the bonnet properly on the adjustable rubber bump stops the noise stopped.
Good luck.

Have a look at the passenger seat belt buckle, it needs to be as high up the belt as possible when there is no passenger. It rattles against the door trim and it's fecking annoying

Cheers for the replies guys. I will do some trial and error and hopefully locate it.

I'll report back if I ever find it and solve it

If not, radio will have to be turned up lol

My hard top rattles... :-( no idea how to fix double :-(

Buckles, visors and mirror can all cause little rattles.

I've tried the above and there is still a rattle. I've noticed it only happens when I've had the heaters on warm. I need to get a look down into the vents to have a nose. Wouldn't mind betting it's something in there.
