Isn't there a wear and tear option you can take out on your warranty ?
I'm sure my extended warranty (albeit bought by the previous owner) covers wear and tear aswell.

Mollyslip - you might be wasting your time. I had the same conversation a couple of months back with HUK.
My car is a MY00 and had about 18k on the clock when I reported the fault. It was whining noise from the clutch problem. It was identified as such by the dealer in Bushey who said it was not covered under the extended warranty. After toing and froing with HUK they said they would cover 50% of the part but not the labour. It still left me with a bill of over

MaKSiNG,
i've sent another letter to HUK today and will let the forum know how i get on.
I have to agree that they know they've had problems with the clutch and at the mo are not willing to budge as far as mine is concerned. I also have a rattling hood catch and the centre caps are now going milky !!!.
It makes a mockary of the Honda Warranty (and HUK) when they can turn down any claim they like for any car they like due to a wear and tear clause !!.
The car was due to go into Slough Honda today to inspect the clutch but i cancelled. This is because they told me that if they find nothing wrong, even though they did on inspection, that i will have to fork out the labour. I'm not sure i trust them anymore and may well take the car somewhere else to get a second opinion .
If anyone knows any punter friendly dealerships for warranty in the local area to Slough please PM me.
Ps. please keep the Poll going.
Ta
Philip.
