Just wait until your engine or gearbox needs replacing. Then you can have the clutch done for free.

Depends how hard you drive, track days/donuts/wheelspins etc.

Mine is on 100k.

My Teg is on 120k and I don't have any record of a prior clutch change
I'm guessing it hasnt been abused but it had 39k on the clock when i got it and as i say, it was in and around London so i'm guessing lots of stop start in traffic which isnt good for a clutch. I'm also amazed at how many people i see who hold their cars on the clutch at lights and junction etc..

I know someone who does that. Then she complains when she needs a new clutch literally every two years!

Well that saved me a job the hardest thing to remove is the top starter bolt, and apart from that an experienced Mech could sort it with ease i would advise to change the flywheel while your at it also

Lowering the subframe?! Thats not exactly a chore - I did all of that on axle stands when it came to fitting my manifold!

On a ramp, I can't see it being too taxing, although just getting to that top bolt is the killer I think.
Once upon a time way back in 2006 when i used axel stands i removed the stock exhaust, it landed on me and i could not move ...bit of school boy error really my cousin had to lift it to one side whilst i managed to get out of the way
