The advice on the FI forum was that you may as well replace it whilst you have the gearbox apart.

I wasn't charged any extra in labour for doing this.

Just out of interest, is 50k about how long the clutch in the S tends to last? I know it depends on driving etc, mine spent most of its life around London before i bought it so guess could have been lots of stop start journeys. Its just done 48500 miles and starting to slip on Vtec changes.

im pretty sure im still on the original clutch as the service history doesnt suggest its been replaced yet...
If mine is the original - then 100k+ so far with no slippage (although biting point is high)

Depends how hard you drive, track days/donuts/wheelspins etc.

Mine is on 100k.

My Teg is on 120k and I don't have any record of a prior clutch change

Just wait until your engine or gearbox needs replacing. Then you can have the clutch done for free.
