Clutch Pedal stopper moved & attacked by spanner!
Planned on moving the clutch pedal stopper bolt so there was less travel in the pedal to engage the clutch.
Was going well, was inverted in the drivers seat with my two 14mm spanners, a little stiff so i got some oomph behind it and as anyone who has done it will tell you its quite close to your face....anyway spanner slipped and smashed me in the tache area of my face....... ouch
Anyway undid the lockbolt then felt a trickle of something down my face.....brilliant, blood, left a nice spanner shaped blunt stab in my face, quite deep and wide.
BUT cleaned it up and finished the job....WOW, what a difference, clutch feels perfect now, now unnecessary leg movement, just push the pedal and clutch disengages, brilliant. anyone who hasnt done this do it NOW
PS. not posting pictures as will get flamed for my 'fanny hurting' hahaha

yep done this myself and also adjusted the pushrod just before the master cylinder. My clutch feels so nice now.
Sorry to hear you cut yourself but I tend to always bang or cut myself when doing anything with cars.

So if I understand this correctly, the stopper is behind the pedal in the footwell and you adjust it so that the clutch disengages just past the biting point?

You can tweak the brake height too, which is worth playing with if you heel&toe a lot.

Nah sorry.
But its simple, undo the lock nut on the pushrod that goes through the firewall and turn the rod using the flats on it.
Do it gently so you dont spin the rubber gaiter, use some lube if required.
Tighten locknut.
Simples.

You might also put extra wear on the clutch if you don't adjust the pushrod correctly - take out the slack in the pedal first and go from there, there needs to be some slack in the rod to master cylinder otherwise the clutch won't disengage fully.

That trickle of blood thing is wierd isn't it because it feels cold.
Here is what happened to me when I lost a fight with a Renault Laguna Wishbone ball joint:
