clutch out of warranty
My japanese import is out of warranty - the clutch is very noisy at times, it doesn't seem to have been replaced with the (055?) clutch. I've read some of the various posts, but I'd like some opinions as to whether it is worth trying to persuade Honda to replace it outside of warranty, or paying for it myself... Is there really no other issue than noise - it can be embarrassingly loud in my view, totally out of keeping with the cool car

Mine was very noisy on overrun. I had it checked by Honda and they recommended that it was replaced. I tried getting it covered under warranty but the claim was rejected, '99 model year. The dealership advised that a successful claim would have resulted in only one plate being replace and that this is not ideal.
In the end I opted for a complete replacement including the bearing. Although it cost
