When was the last time the oil was changed? I got mine done as soon as i bought the car cause it was horrid - made a world of difference
Also, if its just been changed, what oil has been used? the 200SX boys used to use Silkolene for higher temp protection but still complained of a notchy change, so I went for the stock oil and it smoothed it out and shifted how it should

Change on this car is prone to notchiness. It's normal.
Several owners have reported big improvements by an oil change. Some to a synthetic equivalent and some by using the appropriate Honda MTF.
If it's just the change when cold and you have no other symptoms it's unlikely to be either a clutch or gearbox problem.
