Clutch drag and crunch!
I have the intermittent crunch into second (at high rpm) which i think is the countershaft problem explained in the 00-055 TSB. However, with my foot on the clutch when stationary, the car jumps forward slightly when shifting into first. Is this clutch drag likely to account for the second gear crunch?
Car has done 30kmiles and I have an aftermarket warrenty.
suggestions?! thanks!

If your clutch was dragging wouldn't the car keep moving forward even with the pedal depressed. This, to me, sounds more like the clutch not fully releasing, which I suppose could account for the crunch into second. Try pumping the clutch a couple of times before selecting first, and see if that makes any difference.
