Default Clutch / brake fluid

Evening all,
Bit odd but bear with me...

I noticed that on my left boot after being in my car that i had two trickles of fluid that has taken some of the dye off the tip / toe of my boot. I've noticed that I have had the same instance happen on one of my left shoes.

Now the question...

Would there be any way that clutch fluid or brake fluid could leak through in to the footwell? Maybe down the pedal? (Clutch or brake)

Thanks all,
Andy

seals on the clutch master cylinder would be my bet. This was a common fault on Nissan GTI-R's, used to end up with fluid dripping onto the mats and eating them. Pop your head in the foot well with a torch and you should be able to see if its wet.

Thanks chaps. So would the cylinder need replacing, or the seal?

Replace the clutch master cylinder.

Get it from CFL Honda (in the US) because it will save you about £70

Seriously? The entire thing?!

Would a replacement seal not sort it? Or a new clutch pipe?

If you can find a repair kit then that would do, but these days they don't seem to be available, they all want to sell you a complete cylinder,

I doubt very much that Honda will sell a seal kit unfortunatly. It may be more hassle than it's worth trying to find a seal of the right size that would fit though.
