Clutch
Went for a blast this evening (lots of VTEC and a single maximum attack launch where clutch appeared to slip...lots of revs and no forward motion - think I got to about 4mph before I eased of the gas a little to get going) and whilst my clutch still appears to be working i.e. no detectable slippage accelerating from low speed in a high gear/strange noises etc, I seem to have lost what little discernable feel there was in the pedal altogether.
I think what I'm saying is that the bite-point is no longer obvious, the clutch pedal resistance is just uniform over its entire travel.
Is this normal? Did my clutch just get a little toasty and when it's cooled down it'll return to 'normal' again
What's everyone elses experience (car has done 25,000 miles)?
Thanks in advance...
Andy

I've toasted the clutch before, and over a few 100 miles it's then re-gained it's bite.
Think if you give it too much slip, it shines over, and then after a few miles this then wears off.

Wasn't there an identical thread about this yesterday???
Anyway, I did the same a few weeks ago and I still have my doubts about whether the car is ok. I need to race another S2k to test it out.
In fact if you want video evidence of my clutch moment, click on my WWW down the bottom of this post and head to Cars->"Japan vs Germany" - S3 vs S2K. Click on the AVI and prepare to squirm.
