Default Close encounters of the Subaru STI kind

I have been waiting to come head to head with one of these... Was coming onto the ring road when i saw him, dropped it and went for it after a while i thought he was not playing, so i pulled over, but he had other plans...

Luckily he has come of at the same junction and is going allong some well known roads. Unfortunately we get caught behind slow moving traffic "Rover MGF".. Eventually the MGF turns off and he gives it some, im up his ass all the way and his arse is all over the place along the country road...

We eventually come to some tricky turns that he is obvouisly familiar with and im in 2nd sliding nicely round the left, then the right on the power, round another 90 degree right before a 2 km straight.. To be fair he has initially gained 2 car lengths before im at 8000 revs in 3 and thats it his ass is mine, if only there was another KM as i know there is not enough clear road to over take, but he knew.......

Doesn't sound like it had the PPP upgrade, the STiPPP I drove would waste the S2000 on the straights and round the corners no problem

Certainly should, but the driver comes into it (not on the straights of course).

No car confers God-like powers on the driver and a crap driver will always be that, regardless of the machinery under them.

I never consider I've won or lost such an encounter unless one of us puts distance on the other.

It's easy to hold someone up, even though they have the faster car and it's often difficult to pass safely, given the state of our roads and taking all risks into account sensibly.

I can also guarantee that the STi driver was having less fun than you.

Both great cars for different reasons! Good to see the S surprising an STi driver though!
