i have just been in touch with honda, they have quoted me 230.90 for the timing chain tensioner. which i think is way too much. they said for the repair i will need to change the timing chain, the timing chain tensioner and the timing chain guides. which are all in 520. so i will get in touch with hardtop guy and see if he can supply me the same bits and see at what cost

As others have said, just change the TCT for now.
Many of us have changed the TCT and have stopped the 'ticking noise'. Their has even been group buy's in the past it's that common.

Just changed my second one. First changed April last year. It really is an easy job and wanted to change that before looking at guide arms etc as so expensive.
