Clicking from the Rear
I know this has come up before but the ing search is throwing a load if crap up on it at the moment.
I get a clicking sound some where on the backend in two situations;
1) Having reversed as I move off forwards.
2) Lifting off in second or third.
My thoughts are either the rear pads moving or some play in the drive shafts

Isn't that the hub nut torquing thing? (certainly the moving away thing is..)
Haven't they sorted that on the 04?
Haven't they sorted that on the 04?
Sounds identical to that which I had fixed not 2 weeks ago !

But I did ask 2 Mills to check and re torque them at the last service.
I can see no indication it was done though!
The lock not has not been touched from when it left the factory!

Mikey - If they checked the torwue on the nuts - they should replace them with new ones.
I think it's your rear pads - remove the pads and look at the back if them and you'll probably notice small marks due to the movement. At each end of the pad, there are metal shim plates - bend them slightly so that they hold the pad in place - problem should be solved.

I had a similar thing on my 52 plate S2k. Turned out it was the headlamp levelling sensor/adjuster which is located in tne rear quarter within the rear wishbones.
When the dealer told me what they thought it was I was sceptical but they changed it and it's fine now.
Cheers
Chris
