Do you guys grease the CV boots at each end of drive shafts? I do it twice a year with some shin-etsu grease. This stops them drying out and cracking which would eventually leak grease.

can you replicate it by coming on and off the throttle...it sounds very very clicky

the spooky thing is it happening the week the thread was posted

Mine going in to Trident Weybridge on Thursday. I mentioned the 'splines' thing but they claim to have never heard of it?

Frisky said that Guildford Honda know all about this, too far for me to go though, but i have printed off this thread and will take it with me to show them

I just wondered if it might be something to do with the hot and dry weather recently - funny how 3 of us noticed it in the same week?

Oh Paul - just texted you!

I took the technician out and showed him the noise today, he couldn't diagnose what it actually was but was interested in what Frisky said, and said he would get in touch with Guildford if he needed to.

It's now booked in when he is there next tuesday. The guy's name was Phil and has worked at Crown Bushey 8 years since being an apprentice there, so he's pretty well experienced, and a nice guy too

Will let you know what it was when they fix it - let me know how yours goes
