AE - I also go to Crown, do you have a technician there who is the only tech to work on your car ????
Dont know if it the same guy every time, but they do have a couple of S2000 kinda specialist guys - one who's been doing it like 15 yrs and one who owns one himself

Crown is excellent - the guy who has been there 15 years is excellent - he owns an Accord Type R himself. Very methodical in his approach. I think his name is George. - Maybe?!

You know i never get personal with these guys or chat to them - i dont know enough about cars to do so, LOL.

But next time I will ask if George can look at it specifically as he is highly recommended by Mr OCD himself

Believe me, I aint no F1 technician either !!!!

I got pally with a techie person at Crown from the start, its a good way of doing things, he always works on my car weather for servicing of warranty stuff - and I've thrashed the warranty ! - I now think that Honda never made any money from me with all the claims I've had - only one serious claim (timing belt tensioner) but the rest fussy stuff like new carpets, re-y-upholstered seats, centre console, hood, hood frame, hood rubbers, alloys, drake disks & pads............

i strongly recommend Crown Bushey - even if its a bit too far for others to travel.....its definitely worth it .

Ian, and anyone else who is getting this clicking noise, try this simple test - put the car in 1st and turn the wheel half a turn, pull away and then stop, put into reverse (wheel in same position) pull away and stop, repeat a number of times. With the roof down you should hear the clicking clearly on change of direction - if you do it is the driveshaft splines that need greasing - if not then it might well be something else.

HTH.

- Adam.

Just had mine checked.

Clover leaf have had this on a few cars...the say that a build up of brake dust and other stuff...gets in between the hub and the wheel and when wheels are removed, say to change the tyres, if they are not cleaned before re-seating this gunk gets in the way. They scrubbed the gunk away and the car is now silent when pulling slowly forward and backwards....If the noise starts up again I'll take along the idea that it may be those pesky splines on the drive shaft.

unbelievable.......I get home from taking the car for a quick once over round the block.....and find this clicking noise

Coming from rear n/s wheel.....reverse I get 3 clicks....forwards 3 clicks.....took for another run and when ever you go from throttle off to throttle on you get these clicks

Does this sound like 'splines' problem?

this S2000 is beginning to remind me of a Ferrari quite frankly........

It's funny the Corrolla 'shed' just goes on and on, never misses a beat......
