Have you taken the boot lining out and had a good rummage around? Could be something in there that's moving.

Yh I took everything that could move out. The rattling noise is coming from the rear passenger wheel area though so has to be something in that around there causing it just clueless to what it is........

Still haven't got to the bottom of this godforsaken noise! It comes from the rear left, the noise comes from outside the car not inside and only happens when going over rough bumpy roads. It's a clicking noise as if something is rattling when going over bumps....

I had a rattling cat but have had that replaced with a test pipe so it wasn't that.

I've checked the spring as far as I can see, I haven't checked the nuts at the top of where the suspension is secured to the car. I'll have a check of them next.

Get a lever and use it to look for slight play in the anti-roll bar drop links.

i was getting a metallic click noise from the rear end after a solo. the drop link ball joint sits in a plastic cup which is held in by 4 pieces of plastic through the metal case, there was just enough movement to cause the noise. i also then had the hub nut done up properly and the noises went away.

sadly everyones opinion on noises can differ so unless you can get a video of the noise or someone else local to have a listen it's all guess work

I will check the drop link as it could well be that as I get the noise driving along and don't get the noise when pulling away, which I would've thought would rule out being the hub nut. I'm off on holiday for 2 weeks tomorrow so will get a video done when I'm back if it isn't my drop link.
