That's a bit of a personal question Ian - perhaps you should find an agony aunt forum.

I was gonna ask this question. I've got a jetwash type thingy which has a powerful spray close to the nozzle (which dissipates rapidly in a sharp exponential fashion!!).
Can I use this? Or could I cause any damage?
Should I leave it to a valet place?

I am doing this lot at the moment and therefore probably a killjoy, but....moving back on topic...............get some autoglym engine cleaner, spray hither and thither under the bonnet, agitate with an old (or new if you are feeling flush) painbrush, hose (or powerwash) off!

Health warning - replace airbox lid and do not direct full force of spray at electrical bits / orafices!!!! This has worked fine for me, but please be sensible!

What gives? A non- thread started by AE ?

I hear it's a good idea to cover some of the more sensitive electronics with tin foil (like the alternator) before hosing her down.

BTW, I liked your old badge better. The new one looks modern and all, but it's not so distinctive.

You may as well. Prick Blair and his entourage is loading us up with them. Why not put the fricken useless tax drain to some use.
