On the topgear track tonight it was a about a second slower than an exige s, how can that be? Bloody good result for the bimmer but the exige s has semi slick tyres, loads of downforce, rock hard suspension, 3.9 second 0-60 time 10 second 0-100 time and the track was perfect for the lotus; in fact I think the track was designed by lotus.

Also found this - below is his summary of the SLK 55AMG and the Z4M. In the SLKAMG write up he goes on to note that the accessories cost a fortune whereas I bartered my way down to pretty much the base price for the Z4M with many of the extras - apart from the shitty sat nav. This would make the price difference more like 10-12K between the two - both get 4/5 from him as well so it cannot be that bad.

BMW themselves were obviously a bit worried, because when it came to advertising their new car they said only that it had the fastest-operating electric roof in the world. That was neither interesting nor, as it turned out, true. The roof on the Honda S2000 was faster
