Why have car designers suddenly all settled on the idea there needs to be an almost continuous curve from the radiator grill to the top of the windscreen?
Its the new Euro laws regarding pedestrian safety, they have no choice. Stuff pedestrian education, we got have cack looking cars to save the craniums of thick feckers who walk out onto a road.

F-F-F-Fashion.

Such steeply-raked windscreens are optically questionable.

Actually, it makes me laugh when people say "it looks like...."

They are usually referring to a car from the same era, so the statement is blindingly obvious. Or the actual design language is very different, but it is not obvious, because the shape is too sobhisticated to photograph well.

In terms of design language, the Civic actually has some similarities to the Renault 14!

The 7,000 rpm redline makes me suspect that it could be K24-powered.

That is a stroked version of the K20, so no bonkers rev bands, sadly.

i think the styling may have a lot to do with the new legislation that says that cars have to be designed with the safety of pedestrians in mind, eg no hard points in close proximity to the underside of the bonnet etc. That has had the effect of lifting the bonnet lines.

That in itself could be enough to kill it off. Who'll buy one now?
Saying that, I know many people who likened the Audi A3 to Austin Allegro, never had much affect on Sales though.

I dont like the new CTR at all.
Looks too busy and a mix mash of other cars also.
Back profile looks like the C class merc.
The side profile looks like a familar car also but cant put my finger on it.???
