Default Civic type R to have 240bhp

I popped down the honda garage the other day to put some oil in the bike. Got chatting to a sales guy. who said he has heard the new civic type r will be 240 bhp with a 2.4 engine. he also seems to think the s2000 will be getting more CC and be around 260bhp!

I am guessing what is probably going to happen is the 2.2 litre honda s2000 engine which is in the US S2000 will probably go into the Civic type R and wil be 240 bhp. I am guessing the same engine will be in the new s2000 but will have a higher rev limit giving 260 bhp

Which will be cool as when the misses finshed uni I am ordering a brand spanking new S2000

doubt they'd fit the us s2000 engine into a type-r - don't think that engine is i-vtec so it would be a step backwards for the civic even though it would have more horses.

the 2.2 s2000 engine is also shaped/fitted differenty (like ours) so it powers the rear wheels so may not fit in a civic?

all guesswork just now i guess - just need to wait and see what happens!

Can't say I care much about what they do to the new Civic - it is a major styling **** up in my opinion and won't have any credibility

I think it's an optical illusion due to the crease line down the body side- the front wheel looks bigger than the rear one too and that can't be right !

and like a Citreon Xsara or Renault Megane shopping bus or the new Focus and the list goes on.

Why have car designers suddenly all settled on the idea there needs to be an almost continuous curve from the radiator grill to the top of the windscreen?
