The autoleads one linked above is about $35-$38 (the price in the link is not in USD). So the Modifry is not 4X. Just under 3X if you buy their harness too. But yes, it is a good amount more expensive, but you cant find a complaint about it and I do like the extra feature (I dont use the auto volume one, but do like the other button usages since I never have the radio door open).

The autoleads one also has virtually no user reviews (I found one place with 2 reviews and another with 4) and I have seen tons of good feedback on Modifry, so that also factors in a bit in terms of quality (although you have to read reviews very carefully). Not saying it is not good, just stating things I look for when shopping online.

I certainly would not recommend against this one as I have little data to go by. Just stating why I chose what I did.

Loads of people here in the UK use the Autoleads kit, and have been doing so for many years, it works well, for the most part. Try searching this part of the forum.

To get the full Modifry kit delivered to the UK is $133, or £95. You then have to add import duty and sales tax to that at 4.5% and 20% respectively, so that's £118.

The Autoleads kit is available for £23 from ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC99-X61-...9/372183457761

£118/23 = 5.13, so the Modifry kit is as much as 5x more.

I really like my Modifry DCI but I don't think it's necessarily worth the extra money.

I bought one from ebay and they provided the connects2 version - worked fine but no mute function.

Returned it for the autoleads version, which has a separate rather relay box included for the mute function - and this works perfectly. Had to buy a separate patch lead for my pioneer HU, but it looks as though this in included in the link above.

I probably agree - I only really appreciate the speed-related volume function.

Whilst it makes the big black knob rather less pointless, I hardly ever use it.

It makes it more useful - skip track! It's the one I punch when a crap song comes on, even mid corner. It's a big button!
