Good thinking , though I have a feeling the deal implies 2 rears + 2 fronts ?
Simple.

Meet up with fellow member.

Put 2 of his wheels on your car (the worn ones obviously!).

Go to KF and replace the tyres.

Get back home and swap wheels back.

Obviously this only works if each member wants tyres on different axles (i.e. member a wants rears, member b wants fronts).

Can you not just buy the 4 tyres and not fit them at kwik fit? Surely you could be buying 4 yourself fit 2 and keep 2 to get the deal. Is that against the terms?

Has anyone actually tried this yet?

I'm due a couple of rears so if there's anyone around the Portsmouth area wants some fronts, I'm sure we can sort something out?

I fitted 2 x rear's about a month ago at kwikfit - I wasn't aware of this deal at the time (whether they just decided not to tell me I don't know!), but there was a deal on the RE050's on their website, so I ordered it and went in to fit them... BUT... the RE050's on the website were the Run Flats and I had to get a refund.

But I still managed to wangle a discount from the in-shop price by having a whinge about it... ended up at £115 a tyre... better than the £180 a tyre that Honda had quoted!

Moral of my story is make sure they're the right RE050's!

EDIT: it was actually only 2 and half weeks ago... bit gutted i missed out now!

As I only need 2 rears, anyone in the north west care to split the deal with the other 2?

4 rears is still 4 tyres right?

Where in the North West are you as I could do with 2 rear's before long?

Just book Event tyres (or other similar) as they'll prob be just as cheap and they come to you. Event have always put any balancing weights on the inside, set correct pressures and use a torque wrench to do up the nuts. Cheap, professional, convenient, don't damage wheels etc. why use anywhere else?

I wouldn't let KF (well, most fitters actually ) anywhere near any of my wheels/tyres.

edit: Event prices are £368 all in for the 16s. £494 for the 17s.

The price I quoted was for 2 x fronts and 2 x rears and including all the extras too. Even at your price, which must be for 4 x rears, you are still getting one tyre for free which makes the total £417 or £104.25 a tyre.

I went on the Kwik Fit website this afternoon & on the 1st page all looks good. When you go through to process the order this is where all the hidden extras are added to the total giving you £542 for 4 x rears.

As per your 1st post, I agree 2 x fronts + 2 x rears is £498.42 (this includes the 25% discount) which is still not great. What I am unsure of is where are you getting £417 from as shit fit's website does all the calculation for you?

If you have had a verbal qoute for £417 then game on, get the grease monkeys name & get in there with your cash.

I agree with Dracoro, I would not let shit fit near my S
