I'm not talking about the face, why would I want to grind the face of my pads down?

I know - it saves on having to wind them back

Oh right I see, sorry. Do the pads you use not have smooth shims over the painted surface?

urm, no. not supplied with the pads ive always just recycled the existing guides
Ive only used frodo and EBC but have always found the fit a bit tight, surely its not just me?..... hello...

I screw and pushed and shoved and screwed (albeit without a proper tool) and couldnt get the rear pistons in again, so i popped the bleed nipples and they whizzed in with a small puddle of fluid in drip tray. And am pleased to say pistons not seized as i was beginning to think , although I had not had any signs of this.

I am about to bleed any way and new fluid

Also had trouble getting nearside front disc off, bashed it , whacked it and it would not budge.. Sat there thinking and I dare say all and sundry will tell me they knew about it, but there are two M8 tapped holes in the OEM disc and the BI disc, these are for push off bolts, screw in two bolts and disc falls off, with out all the heart ache
