Changing front struts

First time I've been on this forum for ages and somebody has resurrected a post from me! My old user name was AlyWW, but long lost the email and password it was connected to, although my S2000 is still in the garage.
If anyone is searching for this subject, I can say several things from experience:
1. As mentioned, don't tighten up the bolt that connects the bottom on the strut to the suspension arm until the car is back on the ground and you've put a bit of weight on that corner of the car (obviously don't drive it).
2. You can replace both front and rear struts without removing any of the bolts holding the suspension arm on - you may need to use a pry bar or put some weight on the lower arm to line the holes up, it can be a bit of a pain.
3. If you do take the top suspension arms off, use a jack under the hub to raise it until the lower arm is level before you tighten up the bolts. If you don't do this, your bushes will not last very long and the car won't handle as well as it should because the bushes will be under stress even when the suspension is not compressed.

OK, in for a penny on the necro-thread revival. Measure the distance from the centre of the hub to the wheel arch before you jack it up, then when you've replaced everything and ready to tighten all the bolts jack the hub to the measured height and torque everything to spec. Also, I marked my geo settings to get them back in the rough place for the drive to the wheel alignment shop.

Happy to be the resurrection. In 2022 I got my new to me jdm S2000 and needed guidance to remove buddy club coil overs to install stock used struts.
now close to 2024, I have to remove the fronts again as the mounts are shot. I did not replace the front mounts when I did the job in 22.
Anyway thanks for all the help info and may I say, basic respect amongst each other.
