Chet, did you mention you've come from GTI-6's? I've just come from a Clio 172 (sold it on sat) and also used to have a GTI-6 before the Clio, used to be on the GTI-6 and Rallye OC forum with same username as this one. The Clio and GTI-6 were really cracking cars, loved them both and had a lot of fun, but the RWD itch has been bugging for a long time! I'm feeling the same as you about it though, picking mine up tomorrow and have a long way to go. Just gonna take it easy to get used to it.

As you know I've made the same jump as you. They are very different to drive but the same principles apply. If you drive beyond yours or the cars limit you will crash. Take it very easy until the summer - don't VTEC in the wet etc and slowly get used to the car. Also make sure you have some decent tyres on there with a nice amount of tread, and have the geo looked at if you can.
Also consider TGM in Fleet for servicing.
Enjoy it mate.

Can't see the pics at work but I had my seats revamped Chet. Had to replace some of the leather and they swapped the padding in the seats over as the bolsters were so bad. They advised that although they pad them out the original one would be more hard wearing so better to move to the outside.
Cost about £350. I'd looked for newer seats but tbh all the second hand ones have creases etc (and I'm fussy too )
If you search for Yoshi makeover the company I used is listed on the thread and there are pics of the work.

I didn't mention I came from the GTi-6 arena, but you have somehow worked it out! ...and for the record [plus, the annoyance of Matt] it wasn't the GTi-6.. I've come from the slighter better model, the Rallye More details here if interested: my Rallye

You car must be missing some services or the services weren't carried out to Honda's specified schedule. Assuming the car was registered in September 2003. The 45k / 60 month service would have been due in September 2008.

Craig, I can't say I recognise your username but it seems as though we have indeed crossed paths before! Ironically, my Rallye left me on Sat too.

Both the garage AND Honda have told me it has a full Honda service history.
FYI:
Date Of First Registration = 14/01/2004
Start Date of Current Keeper Change = 29/04/2005 [i.e. the owner before me, who is the only previous owner]

14/01/2005 - 9,000 Miles / 12 Months
14/01/2006 - 18,000 Miles / 24 Months
14/01/2007 - 27,000 Miles / 36 Months
14/01/2008 - 36,000 Miles / 48 Months
14/01/2009 - 45,000 Miles / 60 Months
14/01/2010 - 54,000 Miles / 72 Months
You get the idea. Obviously there would be some slightly out give or take a few months. Which is why I asked about the 54k.

I wouldn't worry to much about it. The only concern I would have in your shoes is the bushes because with such a low mileage it might have been standing for some time which makes the problem worse. Once you get the car give Tony a ring (Wheels in Motion) and he will sort it. He's not far from you either.

In my opinion the scuff and centre caps are easy fixes
They were replaced under warranty but if they go the same way I shall expect Honda to replace them again no charge.
Lovely colour by the way.

scumboss, going back to your post, two posts up, you are assuming it had done 9.000 miles by 14/01/2005 - but going off the V5 and HPI docs, the sole owner of the car did not take ownership of it until 29/04/2005. This suggests it was sitting with Honda for a very long time - and hence would push your proposed service interval dates back, is that right ?

If that's the case you are right. Christ, that's a long time to sit around what 13 months.
