Bit of a milestone hit yesterday - the big 40,000 miles!
The odometer and 'trip monitor' were all set up to achieve a "40000 - 40" display respectively but I was having too much fun driving and forgot all about the landmark opportunity. Compared to many of you, this is still minimal miles I'm sure. Especially considering that when I bought the car in Dec 2009 it was sitting on ~32k...
We unexpectedly came across the Hindhead Tunnel [and having looked it up, seems to be the longest tunnel in the UK] where the sound, with the top down of course, was immense . Despite our efforts to capture the sound, the general air/wind noise was too overpowering:

Unfortunately whilst the above tunnel experience will prove to be memorable the day 40k was hit, my offside rear alloy got scuffed against a curb and is proving to be just as memorable. Painful!

How colours divide opinion. My wife hates the S2K in yellow. I think the car looks
Hardtop enhances the car even more. There's one I see round here (tarleton, preston). Its yellow and always has the hardtop on. Damn it looks good
I might have to get mine wrapped!

Tell me about it Tommi! Time is running out though; we have 1 day left of 'summer' in the UK before the recent warm weather and sunshine disappears and the familiar rain returns .
Having covered several hundred miles in the last week the S currently has about a thousand and one dead bugs stuck to the front so I'll see what I can do, but time isn't on my side .

I much prefer the metallic Yellow on the post-facelift models opposed to the rather 'flat' paint on the pre-facelift model. It really suits the S2000's lines .
As for the hard top, have you seen one with the Mugen hardtop? Yellow S2000 with Mugen hardtop - .

And, as WinFreak mentions, all UK cars are technically AP1...
AP2 refers to the American variant with the 2.2 litre engine, all our cars are AP1 and 2.0.
AP1/AP2 is an engine designation not a model/year identifier .
