CEL P0369
Hi all, I've been lurking on the forums for a few months since I took ownership of my first S2000 and I must say this place is a fountain of all S2K knowledge!!
So I was wondering if anybody could help me with my issue
I purchased my car in May (07 plate DBW model) and after a long drive back from Cornwall to Birmingham in torrential rain I suddenly had reduced power CEL light on 10 miles away from home.
It went into Honda the next day for diagnostics - they informed me a temporary fault on camshaft position sensor - cleaned the sensor connectors and sent me on my way.
Few weeks later exactly the same thing happened - took it into high rev range - suddenly CEL light on reduced power. Fault code P0369.
This time Honda replaced the Camshaft Postion Sensor and the car was fine for a good month or two afterwards.
The problem has resurfaced tho recently took the car back to Honda - exact same fault code - they cant understand what is causing it - cleaned the sensor connectors and traced wiring back to ECU and no issues.
Suffice to say CEL light came back on yesterday under high revs again. After a few miles driving keeping below 3000rpm the light always disappears unitl the next time i take it into vtech range again.
I don't tend to drive the car that hard and only vtech once in a blue moon to get all fuzzy inside.
Anyway the car is going back into Honda in a week for the 4th time and I wont be content until I'm convinced the problem is solved / fixed for good.
But can any of you suggest possible causes / remedies? - I'm of the (stab in the dark) opinion it may be duff wiring that needs replacing ECU to the sensor?
It has put a downer on the first few months of ownership so far
