I can categorically state that the CEL has never ever come on during my ownership and I have certainly used 95 on occassion.
I might have run out once too But that was about a year ago.
Was this after the oil flush/replace and decat? Could be the 02 sensor if the latter.

I'd be putting my money on that first.
Take the O2 sensor out of the CAT and run the engine (don't drive) and see what happens.

Much as I find it a shame to hear of issues with the car that I sold, I think I'll have to draw a line now and step back.
As I said, this was the first car I sold to a person, rather than a dealer. Probably why I hung around so long
