Default CEL

Foot to the floor in third gear and then slam on the brakes as I approach a 30 limit. I hit a bump and the CEL warning lights up

This is the first time I have ever had one of these (that I had not been expecting).

Plugs and oil were checked at the weekend and the car doesn't have the second 02 sensor as I have a Mugen ECU.

What sort of thing should I be looking for?

Can you check the stored error and look it up?
I'd have thought the Mugen ECU would be the same as stock with regards to error codes?

It means you've been doing too much of your own maintenance and not spending enough cash at your local Honda dealer. I trip to your local stealer where they will charge you

Steven, is the CEL light the yellow engine outline light? I had mine come on last weekend as I had tried to start the engine with one of the ECU plugs not inserted properly. You might want to check all three plugs are fitted firmly, then pull the ECU fuse as well.

Yes! i is the yellow engine light ..... and this could very well be the cause. It was a very destinctive hit bump and then CEL warning

(Yesterday was the first time, since I had the suspension and alignment sorted, that I was confident that the tyres were at the right pressure .... so I was pushing quite hard)

Nothing to do with the ECU, or any other electronics.

Some Barstewards stuck a picture of the car on the back of your garage door! It's just the cars reaction to it.

The bike scared the shit out of me yesterday ...

I finally managed to get it run in and I discovered that it can do well over 130 in 3rd gear

WTF do I need the other 3 gears for?
