Yep Tonky, it is...but believe it or not it seems to give a better sound than my Alpine disc changer in the boot does!!!!

as I said - mounting it is the only prob I have.....may resort to velcro...

Theres probably another way you can take the unit out and make a direct 'fulltime' lead connection into the back (for those who want it tidier or those who have a straight CD head unit).

Like I said, it's a great and very useful toy....

Just had a look at this but, according to the technical spec it seems to require a Mac which infers it won't work with a PC. Is this correct?

"Requirements
Apple computer with built-in FireWire port

Mac OS 9.2 (or later) or Mac OS X v10.1 (or later)

iTunes 2 software (included) "

I've got the firewire port on the laptop!

Chaps,

you DO need a firewire - these are common on Mac's - less so on PC's
- (the Creative Labs MP3 player just uses a USB lead which is standard to all PC's but is slower for up/downloads....

iPOD IS originally designed for Mac...but

check out

http://www.ipodlounge.com/

scroll down to the PC user part - official softeware is on the way but 'unofficial software is already on the web...

- just buzz me if you need any more..

Thanks amigo!

I must say I fancy the iPOD rather than the Creative Labs and it looks like the software solution is available! I'm still VERy tempted!

Having followed the last link, I'll have a lookat some alternatives. Doesn't seem all sweetness and light. I've been thinking about an MP3 player for some time so I don't want to do the wrong thing. Thanks for all the info!
