Default CD CD CD CD Player

I'm going to get a single CD player fitted.

Firstly does anyone have a '02 going spare that they want to flog to me ?

Secondly - I'm not into high spec - just want a good value single CD player that'll connect up to my remote controls. What can I get that'll do this and who'll fit it in the South East.

Many thanks for any help on this !

nah - get a portable, high capacity MP3 player and run it through the head unit.

Creative Labs 20 GB or a 5 or 10 gig Apple iPOD.

- I've got 1000 songs on mine that can go wherever I go (Ie it won't get ripped out of the dash by theives)...

it's the only way to go.

Some idea of the cost of these two bits of kit? How are they coupled/uncoupled from the head unit?

Thanks.

Apple iPOD - beautiful bit of kit - I got the 5GB (1000 song) version from www.jigsaw24.com for 298 GBP...the connection to the head unit was about 7 quid from argos...

will connect to a PC or MAc so you can convert your CD's to mp3's and catalogue, construct playlists as well as download music from the internet...

sad to say it but it's significantly improved my life!

Gracias!! Jan's slowly filling the hard drive on her laptop with Morpheus downloads. This route seems to make a lot of sense compared to burning umpteen CDs.

exactamundo and de nada muchacho,

I never use my CD's anymore! - and I can plug the iPOD via the AUX sockets on my home system, run thru any computer and play and charge in my car....

and once you've converted the bulk of your favourite CD's - all you have to worry about is the new stuff - which can usually be found for free on the NET!

(it doesn't hurt that it looks sexy too!)

only prob is where you mount it when in the 'sung' s2K cabin - I'm thinking maybe one of those adhesive mobile phone holders?...or maybe even just some velcro?

- but there are many more ingenious/practical types on this site who can come up with something smarter!
