Default Castrol Edge 0W-30

I usually use Castrol Edge 4W-30 but when I was in my local Halfords yesterday chatting to the assistant he told me that I should use 0W-30 so I believed him and bought it. Just checked on the Castrol website and it says "also recommended 0W-30". Was just about to put this in the car but am now worried that it's wrong.

I am off to my local dealer today so will get some Honda oil but in the meantime can I put this in the car?

Each to there own, I found that when using two differing brands of 0w my S just guzzled it, must of burning quickly as it was too thin but then again i have a high mileage S.

I assume you mean 5W 30?

Well Honda nowadays recommend 5W 40...

I think the 5W 30 that you have been using would be better than 0W 30. Mine is getting serviced on Monday, and I've spotted some fully synth Shell Helix Ultra 5W 40 that I'm going to try - at

0-30 will be fine - have faith in it, especially as castrol edge is good stuff

Keep an eye on the oil between fuel fill ups, as you always hsould, and there will be no issue.

I've been using this oil since last service at 54k, now on 57ish and no more topping up than usual required. Seems like good stuff.
