If a hose was coming loose it wouldnt re-attach itself when you come off throttle? Hose connections are worth a check but the car would try and stall at idle if it was one on the vac side.

Just for anyone interested, This problem seem to have resolved itself.

Therefore i am pointing my crooked finger at a bad dose of Optimax as a one and a bit tanks later and a few map whacks (My mum said ill go blind if i whack it anymore) and all is back to normallity.

Your MAP will probably go next its a very precise instrument.

I know it sounds daft but did you at any time check the throttle cable was operating correctly?
