'Carbon' AntiChip Covers ??!
Saw an S2K in the carpark at Laguna Seca (californian racetrack) which looked like it had a carbon fibre front 25% of the bonnet. Well, from a distance! Turns out to be a fabric mat along with a couple of drawstring 'carbon' effect wingmirror covers as well!
Forgot my camera -anyone else seen this before... sure beats a car-bra

Sounds a good idea for when you're going around a track, but you'd need something pretty much invisible for day to day use though, otherwise it might look strange.
Here's a discussion on the subject

No, it was just the first quarter of the bonnet and the mirrors, from six feet away you'd have sworn it was carbon fibre. I had a closer look cause I couldn't believe anyone would make it.
As a chip defence it'd be a waste, my chips tend to be further up the bonnet and on top of the wings!
