Default Car wax

Hey! Guys

Last weekend thought I'd attempt to wax my car for the 2nd time since I bought it 6 months ago ...I know...really bad of me.

Anyway, the first time I attempted, I used Mer and it left a cloudy affect on the paintwork...the same happened again last weekend when I used Zymol (purchased at Halford's, not sure if that detail makes a difference)

The car had been dried, left for a bit to ensure it was totally dry - Am I doing something wrong?

Uh-oh a car waxing / poish query.

Everyone has their own opinions but the Zaino / Zymol debate continues. Having used neither I can't comment. There are plenty of threads on this subject and I'm sure someone will post links to their favourites as s2ki's search engine isn't the best.

Turdle wax is good

Shivani - you should have hopped on the Zaino GB that AE organised.

The cloudiness you describe sounds as though you are layering the wax/polish too thick. Wash the car again and try using Zymol again but only in a small 1.5ftx1.5ft area at a time - Zymol is good.

Sorry. Just thought I'd get it in before someone else did.

It does leave a very nice glasslike finish.

Time well invested imho.

I've never had any problems with Zymol. If the car is really really dirty then maybe two washes might be necc with the shampooey stuff.

Make sure the car is dry and then use the polish in small areas with a nice lint free cloth - and buff to perfection.

Comes up a treat

Although the mere Japon wax, expensive as it is, isn't nearly expensive enough for some people, is it, Chris......?
