Waste of a good bullet IMO (use a plastic bag and see how he likes cutting down on carbon emissions)

Assuming it's MY02 - MY06 then from April 2009 it's 300 for the year, then 430 from April 2010 so up to Aug 10, it would be:

12mth + 12mth = 210+300 =

The new CO2 bands that will retrospectivly hit cars registered post March 2001 is on this government website - if they don't back down before then.

Unless you are going to SORN or sell, the only difference it makes is when you pay, so making the effort to pay just before the hike only means you will end up paying the same amount, just 11 months later. Maybe handy for the cash flow and you could make a few pence in interest. Is it worth the effort?
