Nope i'm afraid not.
Phone requires the 16 digit number i haven't been issued with and I've only got an emergency MOT certificate because the system was down last week when the car was MOT'd!

I'll just have to wait for the replacement Insurance cert to come snailmail and cross my fingers.

Edit: Sorry just re-read your post. I'll try the v5 option tomorrow.

I completely forgot last year on the beater at one point. It was about 60 days after the due date I got a letter through begging me for money.

Has anyone done one of the on-line jobbies yet? I got the S MOT'ed on Saturday, not even an advisory on her, but I now need a tax disk - so with the new format MOT and it's unique identifying number, I wondered if anyone had done the order on line version?
I did mine on line recently for the bike Chris.

Impressed with the service and the disc arrived 2 days later

Silverskin - if you do it online you won't need your insurance certificate - DVLA check the insurance database for you

This island will soon sink under all this bureaucracy.

Just nick a car if you wanna get from A to B.

I did mine on-line last night, as i'd totally forgot about it, and didn't get a reminder in the post.

I did it online without the 16 digit reference. You just need the other code off the V5C.

It won't sink - all that will be needed will be some more creative taxation to pay for underpinning

Nicking a car is one option the government might endorse (no bureaucracy or risk associated with it even if their endorsement is not overt) - another is to get signed on the "social" and get a cheque off them for a couple of
