Hmm. It had a 4-wheel alignment done, not just the front wheels. I think this is narrowing down to possible incorrect balancing of the rear wheels.
Either that or I just drive to work and back over a really bumpy section of the A14!!
I could have sworn it didn't do it before I took the hard top off though and I had all my wheels aligned/balanced/refurbed before I took that off.

Worth pointing out, have you damaged/hit one if the alloy wheels?

A slightly buckled wheel could easily cause this.

Surely this would have been picked up though when the alloys were refurbished and balanced?

Have you checked yoru tyre pressures since the change?

I find tyres are rarely set to the correct PSI after they have been fitted. Teg came back at 23PSI on one corner

Ok - I will:
1. Check the wheel nuts;
2. Check the tyre pressures;

If that fails, I'll take the car to the garage for the wheels to be re-balanced and checked.

And if that fails....sod it...may as well book in for a Geo check somewhere and get it sorted out properly just to make sure everything is as it should be.

Cheers for your help folks.

Did they align the valve marks on the tyres with the valves on the wheel? I'd also suspect bad balancing - some places don't get it right first time depending how fast they span the wheel on the balancing machine.

Not sure to be honest - is there a mark on the outside of the tyre to show where that is? If so, i'll have a look and check.

It's really annoying me though at the moment!!

Yup, think they are red dots on my tyres - it should align with the valve on the wheel. EventTyres got it right

I am running a set of refurbished wheels, powdercoated, and noticed that the wheel nuts didnt do up properly and needed to be checked several times. Upshot was I sanded down the powder coat on the mating surface which was fairly lumpy and the wheels were not sitting snuggly on the disc. Also copper greased the studs.

Make sure one of your calipers isnt seized, go for a drive and check the car rolls freely and check the temperature of the discs, see If any appear warmer than the rest.
