Car ramps
I'm pretty tired of jacking the car up everytime I wanna work on the engine so I thought I'd invest in some car ramps. Does anyone know of any sources?

Ones like you've pictured are unlikely to clear the front bumper on the S, even if you don't have any body kit on (I don't). I've not seen any normal car ones that do.
What do fit off the shelf are Caravan levelling ramps. You can get all sorts of very low angle ramps intended for levelling a Caravan - perfect for going under a low car so you've jacking clearance. But you're unlikely to get enough clearance to work on the car.
If you're after some ramps to just drive onto, look in classic car mags - like Practical Classics. There are a few that give a decent amount of height, yet still might clear the bumper. Not cheap for those ones though.

Your'e right Brian. I doubt I'd be able to use the Machine Mart ramps because of the TS bumper. I need to change the thermostat and the rad switch for which I need some room. I might just order the first ones I posted - they're available from J's racing.
Any tips on changing the thermo and switch?
Cheers

Cheers Markie.
Kelk - basically, the thermostat opens at a lower temperature compared to stock which means a cooler engine and no loss of power when in traffic. Rad switch operates the fans sooner IIRC.
A very cheap and easy mod...now all I need to do is make myself a ramp.
Have a look Kings Website (sponsor) or J's Racing (www.jsracing.com)
