Car kangarooing
Whilst out driving in traffic yesterday my s2000 started kangarooing when accelerating after a while crawling along.
It wasn't from standing start it was probably at around 15-20mph .
It did it on several occasions.
Any ideas please?

Pretty much every S2000 does it, mine does!
when the car is sat idling for long period of time (like in traffic) something called heat soak occurs. This is where the air entering the engine is that much hotter than normal and therefore less dense and the car struggles slightly. This is the opposite of if you drive on a cold morning the car feels that bit more eeger to accelerate than normal.
So don't worry about it, just boot full of revs and once you have been moving a bit it'll be fine.

You will soon get into the habit of blipping the throttle before you pull away, or dipping the clutch when you forget.
BTW Are you running the standard air filter?

Same happened to me in MacDonalds drive thru yesterday. Looked like a right pillock kagarooning all the way to the next window! Do people have much luck curing this with different intakes systems, like the K&N fipk?

Never had a problem with a K&N Typhoon, but I have removed it now, so I'm expecting to experience this issue - yesterday my intake temp climbed to 42°C in traffic, but no issues so far.

I've heard people saying that after taking off the IAC Valve from the side on the intake manifold and giving it a good clean with carb cleaner, and also moving the valve on the inside to un stick it, it helps a lot with this problem. Worth a shot if you haven't done this already!
