Gone to Alpine CDA9847R for MP3 capability. I've got decent enough map reading and sense of direction that I don't need GPS. Haven't yet considered DAB worth it but could be convinced in the near-ish future.

Still stock.
I was on the verge of getting the Alpine 333 GPS Headunit and a bluetooth Parrot thingummy but discovered the Alpine only works off postcodes, not co-ordinates.
Given that half the point of a GPS for me is for "pointless" driving pre-plotted routes rather than getting from A->B, I shelved that idea for now. Becker (the bunch who factory fit to Alfas, Porsches etc) do one that takes coords so I'm looking into that. Both of the above are HU only by the way - no flip out screen to cut into the dash for etc.
I've got a Dell Axim 50v so would love to make use of that with TomTom though. Findign someone willing to put something "integrated" into the car in terms of looks and function with the radio for me in this area is proving tricky, however.
I suspect my best bet may be to wait the month until JAE and have a nosy around the cars there and see if I see anything. And then nick it. Err..I mean ask the driver
