Default Car didn't start this morning..... battery?

Appologies in advance for being a bit of a noob on this. Since I've had the car (2 months) it's always taken a while to start up. Had to hold the start button in a few seconds before it would eventually turn over. This morning was probably one of the coldest i've tried to start it, and it wouldn't turn over. It's trying to, and I think the dash display flashes a bit. It's as if the battery has drained a bit, or could it just be the cold? Either way, is it likely to just be the battery that's dying? Thanks.

It should start "on the button". These batteries are pretty small and suffer from cold and age. I think you are right to think the battery is at fault here. Honda dealers seem to be the place to get new ones from in terms of price and having the + and - pins the right size and at the right ends.

I'd get a set of decent jump leads on or a booster pack to see if that makes it turn over and confirm the battery is at fault.

Yes. You probably should have paid attention to the warning signs and replaced the battery 2 months ago.

I replaced mine in January when we had the snow as it failed to crank up. I sourced a Bosch one from Andrew Page for £37 and 2 or 3 year warranty. They sent the wrong one first time, right size but the terminals were the wrong way round, driver dropped off the correct one 15 mins later. Really chuffed at the price, think the code was s17???? But can check if you need me to

Thanks, I feel a little more reassured now. Yes, I probably should have replaced it earlier, but it's how I bought the car so I thiough it was normal to an extent.

Make sure you have your radio code before disconecting! Or use a set of jump leads (carefully) to bridge the new battery so you dont loose the connection.
