I voted for the MX-5.

It handles *amazingly* and OK it's not quick but then I would hope that at meets etc. everybody would drive within the legal limits anyway

And, more importantly, it'll make you absolutely LOVE your S2000 when you get it back!

Scooby's cousin came along to the Blurtermeet earlier this year in his MX5 and seemed to hold his own in terms of pace.

The 1.8 MX5 gives up around 100bhp to the S2000, but around windy country lanes that's probably going to be less of an issue than on long straight roads.

Still, I voted for the Boxster on the basis that I might as well cost the eeeejit's insurers as much as I possibly can

Err, is he as good a driver as Scooby? That would flatter the diminuative MX5. Sounds like the new MX5 isn't getting the rave reviews of the outgoing model
