Still havnt had mine resprayed, a while back I had it resprayed from an original silver to mcb, however body shop did a shoddy job and end result was a lighter tint of the mcb I wanted! Cut a long story short, got a full refund but havnt followed up getting it done again, yet! Good luck with the suspension!

I've been thinking about doing this to my hardtop for the winter, although I'd get it wrapped in black vinyl rather than paint, easier to change back if you get bored/ decide to change. I personally think you'd have to do the window surround too (unless you already have an early model) to look right, as I think it would stand out too much against the gloss black more than it does against the soft top :-)

Did you mean the surround around the windscreen? I'm guessing a vinyl wrap company could accommodate that little bit (as well as the hardtop)! I got a quote for £185 from one vinyl wrap company, not too bad, and as you say easily changed

As mine is a my2001 I have the black windscreen surround which is what is leading me to a black hardtop rather than a MCB hardtop.
a black hardtop looked good on my red MGF ( some 13 years ago )
