I get 240 ish off a full tank when commuting (10 mile round trip-never get above 35). I have only got >300 miles on a full tank in the first 1000 miles. You are probably gonna get 270 max

I think the question is what are you comparing it with? The S will not depreciate any faster than another car when comparing mileage for a car of a similar age + price

doing 80 miles a day is gonna be a big part of your life (2hrs a day??). Why not spend it in something you enjoy

If motorway driving I think you could, just, even with the odd VTEC here and there. Really depends what the route is. I would negotiate with them now, based on the extra travelling you have to do, now that THEY WANT YOU to work for them

It should be very good flowing, basically M3, followed by dual carriageway, 1 set of lights for the whole journey, could be done with no crawling and no stopinig on a good day.
