If you look closely at the 2001 S2000 Brochure you will notice that the car they use in the pictured had the calipers painted black.
When I painted mine I took the advice of another board member and spent a few hours cleaning them and making the surface smoothe using a wire brush attachment on an electric drill.

Has anyone stopped to wonder if there might be a potential warranty issue if paint has been lashed all over them before a brake problem could show up?
I agree that the original finish goes dingy after a couple of seasons. I cleaned mine up by gently wire-brushing the crud off completely and then polishing up with Solvol-Autosol afterwards.
They now look very smart and shine in the sunlight.

I have been reading and searching for the best part of the last three hours regarding making mods to my car. I have yet to come across a replacement for the OEM callipers both front and rear. I do not want any performance increase/decrease or weight saving. All I want to do is change the callipers for visual appeal without modifications but would be willing to buy new pads. Anyone have any luck with this? I mist stress I don't want a kit with pads, discs, mounts etc just straight swap callipers.
