A tip ...... if you are going to paint your calipers, spend a few hours before hand with a 1" wire brush attachment on a drill to clean and smooth off the calipers prior to painting.
This vastly improves the quality of the finish.

I wirebrushed, then painted 10 coats of heat resistant paint, then finished with a laquer. As they say in Jazz club.... mmmm nice!
I was told after that I had irrecovably damaged my brakes by removing the cladding. I think as long as you paint straight away and apply laquer you'll avoid potential damage
